The OAS primarily serves the greater Middle Georgia area including the following counties centered around Macon: Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Butts, Crawford, Dodge, Dooly, Houston, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Laurens, Macon, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Taylor, Twiggs, Upson, and Wilkinson.
The membership of OAS is open to any professional, advocate, or enthusiast of archaeology and history. We advise that you read our Mission Statement & Ethics Policy and attend at least one meeting before joining our society so that you will know what we are about. We hope to see you at a meeting or event soon!
